Volunteer sign-up sheet
Create a volunteer sign-up sheet by listing the roles, shift times and number of helpers needed. This starter has setup, morning, afternoon and cleanup shifts, with separate spots for welcome and activity helpers.
Rename the roles for your event, adjust capacities and choose a date before sharing the link. Volunteers claim an open spot with their name, and you can export the roster from organizer mode.

How it works
- 1
Open the template
The sign-up form opens with the dates, shifts, tasks and spots filled in. Change anything you like.
- 2
Add your name and email
Create the sheet and get two links: one to share, and a private one for you to manage sign-ups.
- 3
Share the link
People claim a spot with just their name — no account. You see who signed up and can export the list any time.
Tips
- Name roles clearly so volunteers know what they are signing up to do.
- Add a check-in location and a contact for questions before the event.
- Review open spots before event day and share the link again if help is still needed.
Questions
Can I change the volunteer roles and shift times?
Yes. Every role, time and capacity is editable before you create the sheet. Add or remove shifts to match your event.
Do volunteers need an account or email?
No account is needed. Volunteers enter their name to claim a spot; email is optional. Sign-up names and notes are visible to people with the event link.
